When I came home from work I switched on the DX cluster and saw some nice 2m spots. OH -> PA / SM0 -> DL. I made a quick and good decission, grabbed my 2m portable equipment and went to my portable location in JO31LH.
I use in my car APRS but nearly no packet found its way into the APRS network. The whole system was too busy and the squelch never closed :-)

On 160 mASL in JO31LH the temperature was at -2°C with clear sky. I set up my 2m portable equipment that I had not used for almost three month and I was lucky that my backup car battery still had enough power to serve the small 2m PA. FT290+PA, 5ele homemade DK7ZB at 6mAGL on a glasfiber tower. My first CQ call was answered by SM0EPO with 1144km. Only 3 QSOs out of 53 QSOs in 2.5h were made by S&P. All other stations answered my CQ calls.
