For portable activities without a notebook I experienced that it might be very usefull to have access to a DX Cluster. As in normal urban areas the GSM Network coverage is nearly 100% it would be very usefull to have an access via WAP to a DX Cluster. This way it is not necessary to take a notebook to the remote DX location and you are always up to date with DX Cluster spots. Most of the links I found in the Internet are not active any more. But I also found a software that can be run on every server and just queries the OH2AQ DX Cluster and forwards the information to the mobile. All you need is a mobile that supports WAP. Have fun. WAP DX Cluster: enter this link in your WAP Browser: http://www.df1lon.de/WAP/dxcindex.wml As only a small amount of text data is transmitted the costs for a WAP session will be rather low, but still depending on your contract to your provider.
